How long can you live with your regrets?

For the past 15 years, Ian has been haunted by the murder of his family. Believed by many to be the culprit, he has lived life on the run.

15 years is too long.

Now, he's returned to the ruins of his childhood and the rural countryside, he once called home, to say his goodbye and get revenge against the horrific creatures that live in the field.

It's time...

Something happened when Ian was still a child, and he was blamed about it. Something that has been with him since then. His only choice is going back where it all started.

This is a short story about a man who needs to face his past. The story is very well and richly told. It was easy to connect to Ian and understand his motivations. At times the emotions transmitted were very strong, and the story kept me on the edge of my seat.

There is a twist that I didn’t see coming. I personally didn’t really enjoy this turn of things, but I’m sure it will delight others.

Rick Gregory delivered a great narration, transmitting Ian’s powerful emotions, keeping my attention until the very end with a very clear speech. The only setback were a couple of noticeable audio edits, but technically the rest of the audio production was fine.

I received a copy of this book in audio format from the narrator in exchange for an honest review.
